Default Solved - Where can I download VirtualBox Guest Additions ISO?

Hello,
I need to install Guest Additions for an XP VM in Mepis 7.0
Using VirtualBox 2.0.4
When I click on "Devices" and then "Instaall Guest Additions" nothing happens.
Even after an overnight wait.

Is there a place I can just download the Guest Additions ISO?
I've got dial-up and am guessing that is the problem, especially considering Guest Additions is what, 20-some mB?

If this is correct, I need to be able to download the ISO with my download manager, that gives me the ability to start, stop, and restart a large download.

Any help is appreciated.
Thank you,
Clinton

Adding the guest additions in a Linux guest will make an ISO available as a CD ROM unit. In your storage media you should see a CD drive that you can mount. The content holds several files, one of which will be a run file that you must execute as root.

Mepis 7.0 is the host.
Windows XP is the guest.

I don't see an ISO available as a CD ROM unit.

With the guest OS loaded, in the menu Devices>Install Guest Additions. For a windows guest, a normal application install procedure will start.

Thanks for the replies, but evidently I didn't make it clear, so I'll copy and paste it again:

I've installed VirtualBox 1.6 on other machines with no problems.

So... is there a place I can download the Guest Additions ISO file?
thx.

Do you have network working in VM?

I had and have internet access on the Guest XP VM and can access web pages.

I just ran the "Network Setup Wizard now. "Adapter 1" NAT is connected

I tried "Devices" and "Instaall Guest Additions" again.

After 20 minutes, no (appreciable) amounts of data have traveled to/through my MEPIS 7.0 host or the XP VM.

Nothing.

Regarding the Wink tutorial, before I crawl like a glacier through that process, what do you see there that might help this dilemna?

Does the XP VM need SP3? Java? dot-NET?

Evidently there is no place to download the ISO or maybe we (as a group) don't know if there is a resulting, transferable ISO image as a result of the process.
