So if we've done the upgrade (new artwork and all) to 7.9.70 do we essentially have 7.9.80?

good question...and further do that, do future upgrades take us in to the M8 (proper) realm?

In theory, yes. No need to install, just upgrade.

Philosophers have interpreted the world in many ways; the point is to change it.

antiX "Marek Edelman", "Tȟašúŋke Witkó", "Intifada!", "Toussaint Louverture", "VETËVENDOSJE!", "Lysistrata" and "Spartacus" - all lean and mean.

That's what I did and it all went painlessly.

My thanks to all those who helped turn out the new artwork - I'm impressed.

Anyone know when the absence of schemes for kpowersave will be sorted out?

Is this 80 build available in a new ISO image? I have 70 successfully installed on one laptop and I can upgrade it as needed, but on another system, a Dell Latitude D600 laptop, I was getting PAE kernel errors which prevented me from installing there. I was wondering if 80 fixes this specific previously reported issue? Anybody know? Is there a list of issues handled by this build?

Available for the moment for subscribers only. Should be in the mirrors in a day or two.

The PAE problem seems to have been taken care of, I am glad to report, and I can now boot the ISO on my laptop. As for other issues, no clue yet...

I am a subscriber, so that is not a problem for me. Glad to hear of the PAE fix. That will give me yet another box on which I can test it out. Great news, thanks!

Is it just me and my system, or is livecd slower than it should be? It seemed to take forever to boot up and then the programs seemed to run slowly after it did.......
