The OSS movement does not need to be educated on the ethical malfeasance that a corporation is capable of. It was BORN out of frustration with it. The only folks who need to be schooled, is Nokia. I'll just bet it burns their butts that there is a thing they cant steal for once. Mr. Jaaksi, you WILL play by the OSS rules. OSS will not fall for this ruse. You will do it our way, or not at all. You wont put the genie back in the bottle, no matter how much you whine about how the OSS method is inconvenient to your business methods. And that's what this is really about: your inconvenience.

QT is open sourced, if they close it the code is still available for a fork... so this is is a non-issue and nothing more than FUD at least from where I see it...

To fulfil the purpose of the Foundation, an agreement between Trolltech and the Foundation was made. This gives the Foundation the right to release Qt under a BSD-style license in case Trolltech doesn't continue the development of the Qt Free Edition for any reason including, but not limited to, a buy-out of Trolltech, a merger or bankruptcy.

Nokia cannot, at any point, take the QT kit closed source.

QT is open source & I haven't had any Nokia products in a long time, preferring Sony Ericsson phones. (Who are probably just as bad...) So, not particularly bothered by that article, but thanks for sharing, all the same. Just goes to show how utterly out of touch some of these corporate big fish can be!
