Several Mepis users have had issues with connecting to Warren's FTP server - prompting one of our users - Klaus (klk on ML) - to contact Warren and ask if something could be done. Warren then inquired if the Community Repo could arrange to mirror his repository.

Thanks to the wonderful skills and dedication of Marcos (take yet another bow young man ), I'm pleased to announce that he has been able to successfully mirror the repo - and hopefully this will solve the connectivity issues for those members who have had trouble in the past.

For those affected, comment out (untick) the repository:

deb ftp://ftp.mepis.com/mepis/ mepis-8.0 main

And add and enable:

deb http://fr1.mepis-deb.org/mepis/ mepis-8.0 main

The mirror should keep very up to date with Warren's repo. We only have 8.0 mirrored - not 7.0 or 8.5.
